Since I was gone last week Justin and I decided to do something fun this weekend. There are many things to do around here but most of them require nice weather. It seems the weather this weekend is suppose to be rainy, figures. Anyway, We may go to Baltimore to the aquarium and the body worlds museum. It would be a bonus if it happened to be nice out also (as in not raining).
Justin has never been to the National Aquarium in Baltimore but i know he will like it. He’s into that kind of stuff. I love going there anyway, there’s something new every time I go. We both have not been to the body worlds museum and well stuff like that is interesting. I hope we decide to go because it would be fun. It would be a change from going shopping and all that.
We also want to go to the Farmer’s Market in Reston. Those are fun too, they have the best home baked stuff it seems. It will be nothing like Root’s farmers market in Pa. I love going there, they have the best sticky buns, homemade candy and soft sugar cookies. ![]()

She’s Jack of all trades and the master of none
I love this saying. Justin told it to me the other day when we were reading something on the internet. To me, it can apply to quite a few people; both in real life and online. In this instance though, it was about a piece written by someone who obviously feels self important. I dont pretend to be someone that knows everything, and everyone has a niche in life…something they excel at. But many things? All the time? Even fewer.
I don’t mind if people are confident and show it with modesty and humility. Self confidence and ability go hand in hand and should be applauded; don’t get me wrong. But what I do despise are people who “fake it” or rely on others for their reputation. Steal someone else’s thunder, or just love the sound of their own voice. You can easily “blow your own trumpet” too much.
Back to the article and person in question. “Jack of all trades and master of none”. How apt. It is painfully obvious that their skills are hyped. That they have relied too long on others or just like to keep up a pretense. Why cant some people just be honest? Be modest. Be true? You earn far more respect that way, and don’t need to worry about appearance just for appearances sake.

I’m in Pa for this week. I love being here spending time with friends and family; I love seeing everyone and talking, laughing and all that. I’m ready to go home though. My mom smokes and what makes it worse is she smokes in the house. She has being doing this for years now and the house stinks of it. I wish she would either stop smoking or go outside. Every time I come home I get sick. Now I know why was never feeling well when I lived here.
Some good things that came out of this was all the laughing I have done while I”m here. My brother should be a comedian. He’s witty but funny (unlike some people some of us unfortunately know). He could teach a few people who think their witty some things.
Another good thing is getting to see my grandparents, I love spending time with them. They are fun even if my grandpa always thinks he’s right.
My grandma has to keep him in check.
It’s been a very busy week between going to see people and just going places to shop with my mom. My mom took vacation just so she could spend the week with me, I feel special. No one wants me to leave even though they know I will be coming back in June.
I’m ready to go home and spend time with Justin, I miss him…

I have been in Second Life off and on for a few years now. When I first started in 2005 I hated it. The AVs were ugly and they walked like they had a stick up their asses. So a friend helped me get new hair, make up, a new walk, clothes. I was looking better and I didn’t walk weird anymore (thank goodness). I played for a long time and made new friends. Then I quit for a long time. I got sucked into online games and forgot about SL.
Well wouldn’t you know I came back to it. Justin and I are now proud onwers of land. We are renting from a friend of ours. It came out lovely and we are happy with it even though we have a few glitches we need to figure out. It’s driving us insane. It will get worked out soon enough, I hope.
So here are some pictures of our place in Second Life…
