Welcome to my blog, don't be afraid to stop by and say hi. I love meeting and chatting with new people. All comments are welcomed, good or bad.

What a day!

Today I had a doctors appointment and I always dread those because I usually get a lecture. I also really dislike doctors offices for some reason and my nerves get the best of me. Meaning my heart rate is high and all that stuff. Today wasn’t any different from other times I had all of those problems. I do have to say one thing though, I love my doctor. He has a sense of humour and I always learn something from him while I am there. Anyway, I got to the doctors , I was called into the room (I wish those rooms were made to help you relax…lol). When the doctor finally came into the room, we talked and instead of the usual lecture? I got a “whatever you are doing keep doing it because it’s working” I about fell off the examining table I was sitting on. I didn’t get any “tough love” I just got praise. That made me so happy! Then of course while he was filling out the chart thing we chatted and that is when I learn something new. It’s usually about health care and politics but it’s always interesting when comes from him. He has a way with words.

The only complaint I have is that the nurse was horrible. Everything that came from her mouth was all about her. All she kept saying is “I’m going to be a star, I can sing, I lost weight and I am the best writer there is.” Then she went on to tell us how she has a youtube page and she is going to be a star and I should go check it out. I did check it out and It’s ok. If you want to see it, go to youtube and search for “Ghetto Opera”. I don’t want to post the link here because I have no doubt she will find this blog. lol She also asked us if we knew any famous singers/people so she could get discovered….all Justin and I could say was “no comment”. :) Then she had the nerve to ask who we voted for, she was nosy.

Other good stuff that happened was Justin finally got his Va drivers license and he could only get that after he got his SSN (he got that last weekend). He took the computer test today and passed and then he took the driving test and passed. :D That means now he can get a car and all that stuff. We are going to see a car tomorrow, I am excited!

I think all that is catching up with me now because I’m tired.

Coming together

I said I wouldn’t talk about Politics on my blog but Technically this isn’t, It’s about Uniting. It’s about coming together no matter who you voted for. It’s about stopping all the rude remarks I have been hearing about both sides. We are adults so please act like it. I don’t care who you voted for because we all need to pull together now and give our new president a chance. I have to admit that I did not vote for Barack Obama but I am willing to see what he can do and to see if he actually keeps his promises.

I want hi to prove me wrong and show me he can deliver.

That is all I will say about this.

I’m sick of it

I’m sick of…

  • People accusing someone for something that they aren’t doing.
  • People spreading lies and playing the victim.
  • People pointing fingers at others an saying “She’s stalking me!”. Stop crying wolf, if you really had a stalker you would know it. Look up the meaning of it.
  • People who complain that certain people are reading their blogs. Isn’t that what blogs are for, to read? If you don’t want people reading your blog make it private!
  • Stupid drivers who don’t pay attention and then beep at you like it’s your fault when it’s really them. Pay attention!
  • Store employees who are rude

  • Drama Queen much?

The other day while I was on facebook I noticed that my brother’s girlfriend tagged me in photos. Now my rule has always been that I need to see the picture before it gets posted. Most of the time I hate the picture. There were three pictures of me and one of them was really bad. These pictures were from last Christmas which was interesting since she posted most of those LAST YEAR. I think she posted these pictures of me just to be bitchy. Lets just say that I lost weight and she has gained it and in those pictures I was not skinny. :)

Now she knew my rule because I said a few times while she was snapping pictures. So I emailed her and ask her nicely to take the one picture down because I didn’t like it. She did take it down which made me happy but apparently she ran to my brother and bitched and moaned about my email to her. She told my brother that they’re her pictures and she can post whatever she likes. Well in the end he backed me up because she does the same thing with pictures. Of course she didn’t like that and got mad at him.

It irritates me that she always makes everything a drama fest and she has to always be right! When she doesn’t get her way (like in this case) she gets pissed off. It’s not like I told her to take them all down. I wasn’t even mean or bitchy in the email. I guess she’s not use to people saying “NO” to her. lol

I’m just glad she took it down but she needs to stop being a drama queen because I don’t need anymore of that (another story). :)

    Laziness

As most of you know I have been in Europe for almost 2 months now. We stayed in Spain for a month and 2 weeks and now we’re London until Oct 1st. I have to say that I love it here and don’t want to leave, it’s beautiful. I have so much to post about but sadly that will be another post.

Now to the post about laziness…

While we have been here we have been staying in an apartment so that means we have had to go grocery shopping for food and all that. We have gone almost everyday now because it’s easy to get dinner for that night on the same day so there is less to put in the little fridge we have. So anyway over here if you have a credit card it’s chip enabled. So every store has these little machines that you can stick your card in and it will read your card chip and that’s how you pay. Well the USA doesn’t have that technology yet as far as I know so out credit card doesn’t have a chip in it. Anyway, every store we have been to we have had to tell them that are card needs to be swiped and of course they argue with us and in the end they swipe it and it works. We went to the grocery store today to pick up a few things and we get to check out and Justin hands the cashier his card and she says “I can’t take that, it goes in the machine so it can read the chip” Justin tells her it’s not chip enabled and she proceeds to tell him he needs to use a different card because it won’t work here. He tells her that it does work because he used it yesterday and she needs to swipe it. She then argues that it won’t work…blah..blah..blah. She swipes it finally and guess what? it worked. Can we say lazy?

This is not the only time we have had this problem. It seems most people are to lazy to swipe a card. They still have the card swipe as well as the new chip enabled machine thingy. I don’t see the big deal with swiping a fracking card…lol People are just lazy and I can’t stand people like that.

So that is what we have been dealing with, we are so sick of telling people that our credit cards are not chip enabled..lol. If you decide to come to England be prepared to argue with cashiers at grocery stores and other stores because they are to lazy to swipe it, unless of course the USA gets this technology.
